LC Columns

An LC column is a piece of apparatus that contains the stationary phase during liquid chromatography. The stationary phase consists of a fine adsorbent solid that interacts differentially with a sample’s components, affecting the time they elute from the column. Very small packing particles and a relatively high pressure are generally used for present day liquid chromatography, referred to as high performance liquid chromatography.
