Spectrometer (Spectrophotometers)

A spectrometer is a photometer that detects the composition of substances by passing light through a sample and comparing before and after wavelength intensities. The instrument performs over a range of wavelengths, from gamma rays and X-rays into the far infrared. They are frequently used in chemistry and biochemistry research as well as in microbiology and molecular biology for measuring the growth of bacterial cultures.
